Resource parents play a critical role at Nuevo Amanecer Latino. These incredibly dedicated individuals are engaged in the daily mission of bringing support, hope and joy into our children’s lives.
Nuevo Amanecer Latino’s resource parents provide safe, stable family setting to children and youth. Our resource parents are skilled and trained to work with the child and family team and various entities, schools and other community care providers with the best interests of the children and youth at heart.
How to become a Resource Parent
Contact Nuevo Amanecer Latino’s recruiting counselor
Complete initial application packet
Obtain a DOJ, FBI, and Child abuse clearance
Complete (32) hours of orientation training
Complete CPR and First Aid Training
Complete other requirements (paperwork ) as needed
Undergo a family evaluation (SAFE Home Study”
